Melodie Durham of Carolina Interiors carefully considered interior design details, making sure that all fabrics, furnishings, window treatments and accessories were in unison with the English Tudor atmosphere of the house.

This grand
kitchen is the epitome of Tudor luxuries. The custom cabinets are
elegantly distressed and glazed with double wire inset doors. A massive
limestone island adorns the center for food prep, storage, and seating.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a cozy keeping room with fireplace, a large
breakfast room, and a fully equipped butler’s pantry that leads to the
dining room.

MASTER SUITE - GOLD
The main
level Master Suite, with its octagonal treyed ceiling, opens up to a rear
terrace and a luxurious bath, complete with stone floor, dual custom
closets, a free standing soaking tub, and private laundry.

An
oval stair was selected, as opposed to the more standard circular
layouts, to best depict the formal style of this home. Special
features include large barley twists carved out of white oak,
hammored iron balusters, and the use of a pigmented English Briwax
finish for the smooth oval rail and newels.

A perfect space
for entertaining, this home has a spacious back yard where guests can
choose to laze around the fountain-fed, in-ground pool or even relax in the shade
of the poolside cabana or airy covered porch. There is also an outdoor
fireplace with a barbecue pit, complete with an outdoor refrigerator and
gas grilling station.

The Media room
features a limestone bar, vaulted trusses, and a stunning terrace
overlooking the rear yard. Tucked in one corner is a custom credenza that
features an automatic lift for the television.
